A TEACHING FROM THE FIELD
WORDS RELEASE FAITH
We, as the children of God, are victorious. And I hope you know it is because of Christ's resurrection. Now the question is, why is it that we as Christians live in fear and not sure of where we are going, and yet we know Christ gave us authority over our enemy, the devil? As I was praying and meditating on the Word of God, I received a special teaching on: "WORDS RELEASE FAITH"! For your information, Brethren, faith is not just trust in some positive, benevolent deity. Faith is a process of life. No one is faithless. It is not a question of whether we possess faith or not. It is rather a question of where we place our faith. Our thoughts are the barometers of the object of our faith. Faith is a process that works in releasing life-changing power in either a positive or negative direction. For example: have you ever noticed how much more tired you feel after yawning and saying, "I am so tired"? You feel more tired because your self-talk has just released power in the direction of tiredness. I would like you to look into the Gospel of Matthew where you will find an interesting contrast made regarding three miracles. In Matthew 8:8, a Centurion came to Jesus and told Him about his servant, who was paralyzed and in terrible distress. Jesus offered to go and heal the servant, but the Centurion said, "Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed." Jesus marvelled at the man's faith and said, "Go ye thou, be it done for thee as thou believeth." [Matthew 8:13]KJV. And the servant got healed that same hour. In Matthew 9:18, a ruler came to Jesus and said, "My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live." Later in the chapter we read that Jesus went to the house, put His hand on her hand, and she lived. Now see here, while going to the house of the ruler, He was interrupted by a woman who had been bleeding for twelve years. The woman said to herself, using self-talk, "If I may but touch His garment, I shall be whole." [see Matthew 9:21]. And as she touched His garment, power came out of Jesus and she became well. If you study very well about the three miracles, each took place in a different way. In each one, Jesus could have said what He said to the Centurion, "Be it done for you as you have believed." What they believed, and what they said in their thoughts or with their mouth, determined how Jesus performed the miracle. The Centurion said, "Do not bother coming to my house, just say the word." The ruler said, "Come and put your hand on her." And the woman told herself,"I must touch His garment." And what they believed was what they saw take place! In one of the services I had in the U.S.A in the year 2000 at St. Stephen Church in Lima, Ohio, when I had just finished preaching, ready to pray for the sick, a man named Jerry Stemen died, and I remember his wife was crying and she said, "Why can't we call the rescue squad to come and pick up the body?" Brother John Kaniaris came to me after testing to find out if Jerry was still alive. He then told me, silently, "He is gone." I told brother John, he can come back! I heard now John say, "Be restored back!" Then I took authority over the spirit of death, and pleaded the Blood of Jesus Christ against the spirit of death, twice. Then I spoke with authority,"Jerry! Your life is restored back in the name of Jesus! And he came back to life. Great power is released by our thoughts and our words. The Book of Proverbs 6:2, points out that we can be, "snared in the utterance of our lips, caught in the words of our mouth." Therefore, be careful what you say. In Proverbs 10:24, "The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him, but the desire of the righteous shall be granted." The writer of this proverb is telling us to be careful. He is saying, because what we think and say have a way of coming true. My dear Brethren, are you aware of this warning in Proverbs 13:3? "He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction." Also another warning is found in proverbs 18:21, " Death and life are in the power of the tongue." Solomon is saying that in our words and thoughts we have the ability to speak life to ourselves, in the same way that we can speak death to ourselves. So, what I discovered is that 75% to 90% of all illnesses are caused by the body's response to stress. The above two scripture selections from Proverbs shown above, have added significance. When we allow the life draining emotions of lingering anger, guilt, anxiety, and fear to be controlling forces, we are giving death and disease power in our life! I would like you to be aware that David retained self-control, guarding carefully his thoughts. He told himself to bless the Lord. And after repeating that command several times to his mind, he then lists a number of reasons why he could bless the Lord. Please read Psalms 103:1-22. My dear Brethren in Christ, these principles are universal. They work not only for those whose lives have been recorded in the Holy Bible, they work in our lives as well. Are you thinking you are paralyzed? Are you thinking you have cancer or a tumor? Are you thinking you have a headache? Watch out, you have got it! Are you thinking you are going to have a rough day at work or in your business? You own it! Are you thinking you cannot be healed? Sickness remains! Come out of the negative thinking and claim your victory over the works of the devil upon your life! Have you ever read how David spoke in Psalms 118:17? How about the words of Jesus Christ in Luke 10:19? Start seeing your victory over the devil and put it in practice by confessing positively, claiming the promises of God upon your life. What does James say in James 4:7? "Do not submit to fear, or flee from Satan, but stand against him." Your own words will determine who you are in Christ. God bless you as you go over this messge during this month. You are always in my daily prayers without ceasing.
Yours in Christ's service,
